  • Christopher J. O'Bryant

Chris’ favorite actual genre to write about is, people under fucking pressure. When the pressure is on, that’s when the truth comes out, when people (characters) show who they really are, what they’re made of what they’re really out to achieve. Chris wants to scare you, makes you feel uneasy or unsure, and believes that far too many people when given the chance will try to solve their problems with disorder and violence. And loves to lead people into a place where they are so invested in the characters and story, they never see what’s coming next, even though it was all laid out. Follow Chris on Socials

  • Shanice Williamson

After 15 years in the legal industry, I escaped the law office and leaped into the wonderful world of film. I wrote and directed a narrative drama short, Waiting Room (currently streaming on Amazon), which won Best Film at an Atlanta film festival. I also wrote, directed, and produced a comedy web series, All That Shabaz (currently streaming on SparkkTV). My pilots have placed in several competitions, including Austin Film Festival, Sundance’s Episodic Lab, Athena Film Fest (TV) and Circle of Confusion's Writers Discovery Program. After graduating from the WGF’s Writers Access Support Staff Training Program, I’ve worked as a Script Coordinator and Showrunner’s Assistant. I’ve also worked as a Director’s Assistant and a Producer’s Assistant. I write character-driven dramedies, mostly based in the workplace, and always from the perspective of a Black woman chasing her purpose. Having moved cross-country from Atlanta in 2020, I currently live in Burbank with my husband. When I’m not writing or directing, I’m battling 10-year-olds in Beginner Tap classes.
