A DUDE NAMED JIM
Written by John Quick
Vibe: Supernatural meets The Big Lebowski
Logline: Three weirdos team up and stumble through Lovecraftian horrors to find a god-like figure who’s at the center of all their problems: a dude named Jim.
MEET THE WRITER
JOHN QUICK
John is a half-hour comedy writer and technically John Quick the 6th, because his family doesn’t know when it’s a good idea to stop. Speaking of the family, they once added up the total amount of jail time accrued by the members of their extended family. And by that we mean his Grandmother, Dad, and Aunt sat in his Grandma’s kitchen and wrote it all down (Total was 37 years, 5 months, 9 days).
John writes stories that are sardonic, surreal, and sincere (alliteration for the win). He’s been lucky enough to place in the Austin Screenwriting competition, showcase A DUDE NAMED JIM as a world premiere on The Stunt List, win several awards for copywriting, and have a modest Twitter following with a series set in a Martian Colony.
