AN INDIE COMIC BOOK SHOWCASE
The Stunt List squad and Rad Ink Productions is teaming up with Allen Wu of Tortoise+Hare Comics to create an exciting new showcase for indie comics. Selected comics will be showcased on the Stunt List website and presented to our network of entertainment industry executives and professionals.
All showcases this year will be even more competitive than years prior, as we’re aiming to reduce our total number of official selections to really focus on those we feel have the most potential. Thank you for sharing your voice with us, thank you for all your endless support, and keep breaking that lead and blasting your voice on the page!
SUBMISSION CRITERIA: Please note, if your project does not meet these requirements or if you submit something outside the guidelines, your project will not be reviewed.
The submission should be a finished comic, whether it's a oneshot, issue 1 of a series, or a graphic novel.
We are not looking for screenplays that could be comics — produced comic books and graphic novels only.
The submission should encompass the beginning of the story, e.g., do not submit issue #2 of a series.
The comic should be unpublished or somewhat recently published (ideally within the last 12 months).
The comic should not be NSFW. (This one has some flexibility, as with movies we see at the theater, but we are not looking for porn—and gratuitous, exploitive situations will not be accepted.)
The comic should not be published in the direct market.
The submission may be of any length. As part of our goal is to facilitate potential development for film and TV, we would prefer to avoid short comics under 8 pages. For longer works, we may discuss showcasing a preview of the earlier pages, rather than the entire comic.
The comic should not involve the usage of generative AI in any capacity.
*NOTE: If you opt to add diversity notes, these are for the creators, not the story characters.

As always, we are a tiny team of volunteers and unfortunately, and we won’t be able to notify you if you weren’t selected. We will read all query submissions, but can’t guarantee all comics will be read in completion. Our team will review each submission like an industry standard query — so take time and care to make your application best represent your voice!
